In 2020, our company founders met with dozens of businesses that provide products or services to farmers and rural property owners. They also met with groups of farmers whose main income was derived from their farming operations. The original goal was to determine if there was a need for a centralized library of ag business information that was freely accessible on the internet. The feedback from this survey prompted them to establish aglinks.com. As the company grew, a more complete menu of marketing and business management services was established that catered to the specific needs of farmers and agricultural businesses. These services included a dedicated equine directory, an expanded website-based agricultural business directory, website and social media design, creation, and management, agricultural equipment financing, business management consultation, and a monthly, digital magazine called The Agrarian. To more accurately identify our presence in the agricultural industry, Ag Biz Alliance was created.
Jim is a life-long farmer, still operating his family’s 450-acre Century Farm. He has over 30 year’s experience as a successful entrepreneur, business consultant and Director of Business Development for several companies. These skills and his wealth of knowledge in the agricultural industry are well suited to ensure responsible management and successful strategic growth for Ag Biz Alliance.

Hello! I’m Stacey Freer, the new Communication Administrator here at Ag Biz Alliance. Growing up in Rural Southwestern Ontario is something I am very proud of, and now call Strathroy, Ontario home. With a 20+ year background in the manufacturing industry and wholesale sector, I’ve honed my skills in helping businesses shine. My Graphic Design and Project Management diplomas complement many of my marketing and communication strategies. My working philosophy is simple: help customers market their businesses effectively and provide the best customer experience.
When I’m not working, you might find me exploring new marketing trends, enjoying local farmer’s markets, cooking and baking for loved ones or just spending time with my husband and our 2 English Bulldogs. Let’s connect and see how Ag Biz Alliance can help grow your business!
Greetings! My name is Larry, and I live in Rodney, ON, with my wife Gwen. We both grew up on farms near Listowel in the 1950s and ’60s—Gwen’s family on a dairy farm, ours on a traditional family farm. I’ll share stories of those days in an upcoming article. At 10, in 1967, our farm was suddenly sold after my grandfather’s passing, a loss that shaped my life.
Following my father’s illness and passing in 1973, I worked part-time through school, ultimately earning degrees in English and Sociology at Queen’s University. I enjoyed a 30-year teaching career in West Elgin and London, ON, before a severe car accident in 1996 changed my path.
Retiring in 2011, I pursued ministry with the United Church. Now, I write to share stories and explore agriculture—its past, present, and future—to inform and connect our rural communities. I’m thrilled to contribute to The Agrarian as a writer.
